New Delhi: Within four days, there have been reports of many incidences of child sexual assault in this capital city of Madhya Pradesh, raising questions about the safety of kids in learning environments.
At a private school in Bhopal, a 16-year-old student allegedly experienced sexual harassment from his chemistry teacher. It has been stated that the teacher taped indecent footage and threatened the student with failing grades. The boy’s class teacher revealed the scenario to him when he spoke with him following his exam results. After informing the principal of the school, the police were called in. The teacher was taken into custody after a FIR was filed against him. He was later brought before the court and placed under judicial supervision.
A 5-year-old girl alleged on Saturday that her school van driver had sexually assaulted her in another incident. The young girl told her mother about the incident when she got home, crying. However, she failed to provide the information when questioned at the police station, which is why the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) scheduled a counseling session with her for today in order to get additional data. The driver is currently being questioned by the police, but no formal complaint has been filed against him as of yet. Harinarayanachari Mishra, the commissioner of police in Bhopal, has acknowledged that the case is being handled seriously.
A 3-year-old kid was sexually assaulted by her IT teacher at a separate private school three days ago. Her mother originally believed the strange scratches on her body to be unintentional. When the mother questioned the boy, he called the offender “uncle,” and she reported the incident to the police. After being identified and after a medical check, the instructor who was accused, Qasim, admitted to the crime and was taken into custody.
The public is outraged by these instances and has demanded that steps be taken right away to protect children in schools. Dr. Mohan Yadav, the chief minister, denounced these actions and directed that all instances be looked into as soon as possible. Additionally, he declared intentions to create a special court with the goal of accelerating criminal proceedings.

In a another case in Tikamgarh, a 7-year-old child is accused of being sexually raped by Ashish Tiwari, a local who Union Minister Virendra Khatik recently nominated as an MP representative. The accused was terminated from his position as the Union Minister’s representative after the accused filed a case under the POCSO Act in response to a complaint from the girl’s mother. But Tiwari is running away right now. There is pressure on the authorities to enact laws and hold those who abuse children accountable.
