Day 7 box office receipts for Kalki 2898 AD: Prabhas-starring film crosses the Rs 700 crore global milestone and rises to the second spot among 2024’s biggest grossing Hindi films.

Day 7 box office collection for Kalki 2898 AD: After its first weekend, the Prabhas-starring film is continuing to hold steady at the box office, surpassing Salaar’s lifetime total.

After a week of release, the Prabhas-starring film Kalki 2898 AD has surpassed the Rs 700 crore milestone at the global box office. The dystopian sci-fi movie made Rs 23.2 crore on its seventh day at the box office in India, having opened with a net income of Rs 95.3 crore. Since the film’s release, Kalki 2899 AD’s box office receipts in India have decreased by 75%. It has remained stable, though, following the first weekend. The decrease from day six to day seven was a mere 14.23%. This brings the film’s Indian nett collection to Rs 393.4 crore, according to industry tracker Sacnilk.

On the seventh day of its release, the Telugu version of Kalki 2898 AD had an overall occupancy rate of 31.38 percent. The Nag Ashwin-directed movie was also made available in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. In its first week of release in India, Kalki 2898 AD’s Telugu version brought in Rs 202.8 crore, while the Hindi version brought in Rs 152.5 crore, making it the second-highest grosser of the year in the Hindi market. Bollywood Hungama claims that Fighter, with Rs 199.45 crore, tops the list. Shaitaan, starring Ajay Devgn, came in second place with 149.49 crore nett, behind Kalki 2898 AD. Given how poorly Hindi movies have performed at the box office in 2024, it is probable that Kalki 2898 AD will run.

Kalki 2898 AD has been the most successful Indian film of 2024 worldwide. The movie’s producers, Vyjayanthi Movies, stated that after six days in theaters, the film has made Rs 700 crore globally. After its release in China, Dangal amassed receipts of Rs 2070 crore, maintaining its position as the highest grossing Indian film globally. Baahubali 2, which earned Rs 1788 crore, and RRR, which took in Rs 1230 crore over the course of its career, come after Dangal. Other than these, three films have crossed the Rs 1000 crore milestone globally: Jawan (Rs 1160 crore), Pathaan (Rs 1055 crore), and KGF Chapter 2 (Rs 1215 crore). Whether Kalki 2898 AD will be able to enter that club remains to be seen. Following the seventh day’s worldwide collections, the film will certainly cross the worldwide collections of Shankar’s 2.0, which made Rs 744.78 crore in 2018, and has already overtaken Prabhas’ Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, which made around Rs 600 crore last year.

In addition to Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Deepika Padukone feature in Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, Dulquer Salmaan, Vijay Deverakonda, Mrunal Thakur, and director SS Rajamouli make cameo appearances in the movie.
